Spa treatment for the bride: at The Datai Langkawi
Datai Hotel is located on Langkawi Island in Malaysia. One of the attractions of the five-star hotel is the spa, which offers a variety of facial and body treatments.
A popular procedure among those preparing for the wedding is Mandi Bunga, which means “flower bath”. This is a traditional Malaysian ritual of washing the bride with water and flowers. This ceremony symbolizes care, dedication and blessing.
The bride is offered to wear a cotton sarong, and a ceramic container is filled with water and freshly cut flowers.
The master scoops up water with a ladle made of coconut shells and performs ablution of the seven parts of the body: feet, knees, shoulders and head.
