38 years ago – July 29, 1981 – the royal large-scale wedding of Lady Diana Spencer and Prince Charles took place. The whole world seems to have followed the ceremony.

Even now, the wedding of Lady Diana and Prince Charles is considered one of the most luxurious wedding ceremonies. That day in the UK was even declared a day off. The cost of the wedding was not disclosed. And the ceremony itself took place at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London. The ceremony was attended by 3,500 people, including members of the royal families.

Diane Spencer wore a vintage milky wedding dress adorned with antique lace and 10,000 pearls.

The veil was 25 feet long. The shot of Lady Diana and Prince Charles kissing on the balcony of the cathedral has been circulated in all local and foreign publications. For the wedding dinner, 27 wedding cakes were made by David Avery.
