When difficult times come, mankind has the habit of recalling spiritual leaders, hoping to find with their help a panacea for anxiety and fear. But not everyone has the authority to support and inspire other people. Perhaps the Dalai Lama is one of those who are trusted on all continents.

Winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, ex-head of the Tibetan government in exile, a Buddhist, the Dalai Lama is a supporter of the dialogue of cultures, religions and politicians for the sake of universal peace. Meetings with him gather a huge number of people who want to be imbued with the inner light of the teacher. For many years, the Dalai Lama has been popularizing the art of being happy among those who are ready to show sympathy for others, work on the transformation and rethinking of their suffering, and overcome obstacles.

According to the Dalai Lama, for every person, regardless of gender, race, religion or language, two things are fundamental in life: the pursuit of happiness and the avoidance of suffering. This is the essence of being. If a person seeks prosperity, he must be clearly aware that it depends on the nature of his existence.

One of the markers of happy life is peace of mind, the path to which is impossible without working on yourself and, of course, meditation. But whoever passes it will be able to resist even the most difficult life tests.

Inner peace will become unattainable. Instead of happiness, a feeling of defenselessness will appear. And from here it’s not far to causeless fears and depression. ”
