The wedding of a 36-year-old Indian actress and a 26-year-old American musician was the longest-running celebrity celebration of 2018. The holiday lasted for 4 days, which, I must say, is a common thing in India, and gathered a huge number of relatives, colleagues and friends of the couple. The most important guests of the wedding were Priyanka’s mother Madhu Chopra and the bride’s brother Siddhart, the groom’s parents Paul Kevin Jonas and Denise Jonas and his brothers Joe and Kevin with their wives.

On November 29, traditional Indian pre-wedding ceremonies were held: Mehendi (drawing on the bride’s body with henna) and an evening of Sangeet dance and songs. It is noteworthy that earlier the Sangeet was held exclusively for women, but today the groom and relatives from both sides can also take part in it.

On Saturday, December 1, a Christian ceremony was held at the Umaid Bhavan Palace in the Indian city of Jodhpur, led by the groom’s father. The bride appeared in the most delicate lace layered dress from Ralph Lauren, embroidered by Swarowski, and a luxurious 22-meter veil complemented the look. For the European ceremony, the groom chose a classic black suit of the same brand and symbolically attached a small piece of lace from the bride’s dress with the inscription My Jaan, which means “My life” in Urdu, to the lapel of the tuxedo. Having exchanged vows of love and Chopard rings, Nick and Priyanka continued the celebration with their loved ones. The gala dinner ended with a romantic dance of lovers and a massive fireworks display.

The Indian ceremony, which took place on December 2, ended the series of holidays. On this day, the bride wore the national lehengu-choli dress. Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla designers created a luxurious red outfit, decorated with stones and hand embroidery. The look was complemented by a white gold veil and necklace from Chopard with pear-shaped diamonds. Nick also wore a traditional Indian groom outfit. In addition to the celebration itself, the couple held several wedding receptions in December: for leading politicians in India and for Priyanka’s friends from the acting environment.
