8 years have passed since the “wedding of the century”, as it was dubbed in the media. Kate Middleton and Prince William yesterday celebrated their wedding anniversary with a family – with their children. Recall that the wedding of the Dukes of Cambridge took place at Westminster Abbey in London.

On the official Instagram account, the Kensington Palace press office thanked the fans of the royal family for their congratulations.

“8 years ago and now. Thank you for your pleasant messages to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on their significant date, ”the press service writes.

1900 guests were invited to the wedding of William and Kate. Kate’s wedding dress was designed by London-based designer Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen. It was made of satin, the bodice and skirt were decorated with handmade lace. The veil was held by the Cartier tiara of Queen Elizabeth II.

For 8 years of marriage, Kate Middleton and Prince Harry had three children – sons George and Louis and daughter Charlotte.
